Sport

The school participates in the MISA (Macarthur Independent Sports Association) competition where the school fields up to 10 teams per term in various sports and age groups, against other Catholic and Anglican schools in the Macarthur area.

We have had strong results since its inception with John Therry winning the 2010 Champion Schools Trophy and Junior Boys Champions Trophy 2009 and 2010, and the Senior Boys Trophy in 2012 and 2013.

John Therry also competes against other secondary catholic schools in the Wollongong Diocese in annual carnivals for swimming, athletics and cross country. There are also Championship days in a number of team sports. These events serve as a selection process for Wollongong Diocesan teams who will then go onto compete at the NSW CCC level.

John Therry has been well represented in NSW CCC teams over the years especially in swimming, netball and soccer.
